I recently had the honor of attending and presenting at the prestigious World Association of Sexology Conference held in Brisbane, Australia, in July 2025. This international gathering brought together leading experts, educators, clinicians, and researchers from across the globe, all committed to advancing the field of sexual health and sexology.
As a Certified Sex Therapist and Educator with over 20 years of clinical experience, participating in this conference was both enriching and inspiring. My presentation focused on [insert your presentation title/topic here], where I shared insights from my clinical practice in India, particularly how I integrate Ayurvedic principles and modern sex therapy to address various sexual health concerns.
The conference offered a unique platform to learn from groundbreaking research, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and network with pioneers in sexual medicine and counseling. Topics ranged from LGBTQIA+ inclusivity and trauma-informed therapy to innovations in sexual education and global sexual rights advocacy.
I was especially proud to represent my country and contribute to the global dialogue on sexuality, mental health, and culturally sensitive therapeutic practices. Attending such international events not only broadens my knowledge but also empowers me to bring new, evidence-based approaches into my everyday clinical work with individuals, couples, and families.
I look forward to incorporating these learnings into my practice and continuing to advocate for comprehensive sexual health education and support—both in India and globally.
