Dr.J.B.Kiran is a Certified & Qualified Sex Therapist, Educator & Sexologist. He was graduated from Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Mysore & holds a post-graduation in Sexuality & Sexual Counseling in 2005 from Kuvempu University.
He got a Fellowship in Council of Sex Education And Parenthood International & is certified from Medicon Foundation for Sex Therapy & Education by Dr.M.C.Watsa.
His earlier experience in General practice , he came to know that there are sexual issues in a vast majority of the population but still they are not aware of how to get help for these problems in a discreet manner. So he decided to do rectify this and started the Sexual Health Clinic (Ashwini Poly Clinic) in 2006 with a prime objective of helping to solve sexual problems for the patients in a safe and secure environment.
Dr. Kiran regularly attends National & International conferences and until now he has presented 10 National & 2 International papers. One of his research papers was presented at World Association of Sexology in Brazil.
Recently presented 2nd Research Paper ” Sexual Health after 50″ at Cochin CSEPI Conference 2015.
He is a Life member of Council of Sex Education & Parenthood India (CSEPI), Indian Association of Sexology (IAS), World Association of Sexology (WAS) & Family Planning Association India (FPAI)
He is also honorarily working as a sex therapist in Asha Kiran Hospital for HIV/AIDS patients.

Common Sexual Problems
Sexual problems can be mainly divided into SEXUAL DYSFUNCTIONS, SEXUAL DIFFICULTIES, & SEXUAL VARIATIONS.
Sexual Dysfunctions – Erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, loss of libido etc.
Sexual difficulties – Apareunia ( intercourse doesn’t happen) & Dyspareunia (painful intercourse).
Sexual variations – Can be divided into Sexual orientation (homosexuality, heterosexuality, bisexuality), Sexual gratification (sadism, masochism, voyeurism etc) & Gender identity disorder like transexualism.
Myths & Misconceptions – Size of penis and breast, masturbation, wet dreams etc cause many sexual problems due to misguidlines.
What we do in our Sexual Health Clinic
First, we determine if the problem is Organic (physical) or Non-organic (psychological).
If it is Organic, we give medications & if it is Non-organic, we provide sex education, counseling & sex therapy.
Counseling helps in all sexual problems, except organic sexual problems, by exploring & clarifying the various aspects of the problems. Application of psychological & therapeutic methods will assist in acquiring techniques that will help the patient, better cope with the problems in future.
